The ' Adventure of the XXVI World Youth Day began a long time: the moment when the Holy Father Benedict XVI , in Sydney, July 20, 2008, in August 2011 called on the youth of the world to go with him to Madrid. The World Day of Youth in Madrid is still far, but the months that separate us from that do not prevent the imagination of many young people to imagine the future Spanish days. To "start" we propose three concrete actions, the more attention we leave to the imagination of everyone.

1. Pray
By now you might begin by asking God , through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Patron of World Youth Day in Madrid, the World Youth Day is an event of grace for many young people and for the whole world, we ask God for the grace to release the youth from the scourge of drugs, war, fear, pornography, violence, prostitution, we ask God for the gift of faith for many young people who are estranged from the Church , we ask God to every young person discover and follow their vocation.
Every day we set our phones or our watches because we remember with a ring, at noon or at another time, to recite at least a Hail Mary for the intentions that are important to us ... wherever we are ...

2. Bargain Travel
GMG is always an unforgettable experience. In every possible way is necessary to spread the "good news" of the World Day of Youth and involve as many youth as possible, a preparation that starts now, the diocesan World Youth Day on 28 March 2010, Palm Sunday, may be a great opportunity to invite young people to "start" with the preparations.

3. Save
Save not only for ourselves but also for those last minute may need financial help. One idea would be to create a kind of piggy bank in which to put some money saved; doing the math, you might just give up, every day, the equivalent of 3 cigarettes or coffee, a "happy hour"

4. Ideas of self-funding for the WYD
A great way for youth groups, to self-finance the trip to Madrid and build brotherhood in the Christian community is to cook: lunch together on Sundays at noon, or on Friday or Saturday night, on the premises of parochial or ' oratory ... you could also think of dinners "ethnic" theme, involving our foreign friends ... it would not be hurt a little 'live music .... why not prepare a drink and offer it on Sundays after Mass, in front or local parish, asking for a donation. Make room for the imagination!
