Polis - The city of the Scouts

On the 28th, 29th and May 30th we welcome all ' Summer with the usual and expected day of volunteering to clean up the beaches and seabeds from abandoned waste.

The summer is upon us, the season of carefree holidays , we can not wait to take us to the Sun and a dip. Seemingly harmless activities that often have a devastating impact on the ' environment , many mistake the sea and beaches for huge dump in the open air with impunity give where the remains of dinner, dishes, bottles, plastic bags, cans, not to mention cigarette butts, lighters, batteries, and glass bottles that become a real threat to the safety of children. Uncivil gestures that pollute and disfigure our beautiful coastline.

For this year, traditionally the last weekend of May, we meet along the coast to all lovers of the sea with a concrete gesture to contribute to the protection of the marine ecosystem.

With your participation we can

• awareness of citizens and invite them less careful not to soil;
• influence the government to invest more energy to control and defend the territory from abuse and illegality.

Ask, coastline after coastline

• more resources for recycling and the promotion of sustainable tourism;
• most beaches, because living in the sea, nice and clean, is a right for everyone!

We strive to beaches accessible to all

• We join the battle of awareness of the ' Association Handa for the promotion of a culture of inclusion in order to have a social context not only free of architectural barriers, but especially cultural ones. This year the focus of the initiative Beaches and Seabed Clean - Clean-Up the Med is on architectural barriers, the discrimination suffered by disabled people in wheelchairs that almost everywhere they have no chance of reaching the shoreline. www.handiamo.it
