XV DAY OF MEMORY AND COMMITMENT
IN MEMORY OF THE VICTIMS OF THE MAFIA

The Youth Day of Remembrance and Commitment in memory of victims of the Mafia, will be celebrated in Lombardy , in Milan , Saturday, March 20, 2010. Milano will star in the days of 19 (with the meeting between the families of the victims and to follow ecumenical moment the memory of the victims) and 20 (with the march in the morning and seminars). Will, as always important to involve the whole network of Freedom , the students , citizenship and organizations large and small.

The theme that we will put in the middle of the day, will be the size of the financial mafia. Too often hastily dismisses the problem still mafias as something that only affects some regions of Southern Italy. We know for a fact that is not so, now that the mafias invest around the world and in North Italy there are important cells of the notorious clan , who recycle dirty money, invest capital in building and marketing, are at the center of drug trafficking, advantage through lavoro black.

Corruption, high levels again today as the Court of Accounts, is a phenomenon in which there are increasingly more business opportunities, so it is all over the North to have to look at these phenomena from the penetration of capital offenses. Milan is the city where George was killed in 1979 Ambrosoli, experienced lawyer in compulsory administrative liquidation, which was investigating the movements of the Sicilian banker Michele Sindona. Milan is the city where 27 July 1993 there was a bomb that expressed the direct attack on the state by the Mafia : the massacre of Via Palestro, near the Pavilion of Contemporary Art. There were five deaths. Milan is finally the city where the Expo will be held in 2015, an event that will attract huge amounts of capital and which will be important to remain vigilant to not allow the infiltration of the Mafia. For all these reasons and many others, we will meet March 20, 2010 in Milan, to celebrate the fifteenth National Day of Remembrance and Commitment, in memory of victims of the Mafia.
