A forgotten world
EVEN THE SCOUT FOR CHARITY
(Scouts continue their commitment to the next)

The scouts and guides of ' AGESCI San Severo Group 3 (FG) are mobilizing again to support the Wansokou village in Benin, with which the Diocese of San Severo is twinned for over ten years.
In this regard feel obliged to point out that the nation of Benin and precisely in that mission, the Diocese of San Severo is particularly committed to the forefront because during the episcopate of Bishop Michele Seccia priests were sent to the local curia to do their episcopal mandate of evangelization but also to help pass away the notions of community life-social, or teaching the most basic standards of living and working activities.

One of these priests, Don Francesco De Vita, one of his recent return from Wansokou we witnessed, in a meeting with our scouting department, what was really great is their commitment to the people of the third world , and the thing that remained impressed us boys was the will of the priest demonstrated that despite the objective difficulties encountered and material shortages, food, hydro-sanitary and whatever else distinguishes our well-being, longed to return as soon as possible in that country.

It was from this meeting that we kids had the idea of bringing tangible relief to those people and so we decided to offer our work and contextual revenues for the construction of a well in the village of Wansokou in Benin since the water very poor women forced to walk every day, dozens and dozens of miles to find a bit 'of water for basic needs of life.
The commitment scout has reached its goal and last summer at our office we have scouts over the sum of euro 2.500,00 to the priest, Father Leo always coming from Benin, the presence of Mrs Maria Giuliani as a missionary representative of Benin, thus satisfying our goal. As if that was not enough our commitment continues to sponsor it again this year and is renewed on the occasion, we engaged in designing self-financing activities with the creation of works relating to the Christmas period.
Moreover, the whole department has undertaken in preparing the pasta "cicatelli" sanseveresi. Also getting good results from such activity. To conclude the sponsorship makes us proud because with our small contribution we can a guy be able to live decently for a year gestendosi also their degree course.
