Let us free from waste waters and beaches.
Plastic bags, cans, napkins, cigarette butts, metal carcasses of televisions or unexpected: it is an old spring and summer on the beaches and waters of Italy never goes out of fashion. Waste left in the sand on the beaches or taken by the tide after being abandoned in the water , surface behaviors that endanger the biodiversity of the sea , above and below the ' water .
When the summer is upon us, thousands of volunteers is time to get down to the beach to say that the respect for the sea does not go on vacation: why we devote the last weekend of May to the collection of abandoned waste along the coast, a concrete gesture with which we want to promote greater attention to the protection of the area and ask the government a coherent and continuous in time. Action plans to say YES to the beach that enhance our shores, beach access for all, responsible tourism and waste collection. To say NO to beaches armored construction abusive and dangerous, wild fisheries, to scarring of the seabed, the sea and all forms of life.
7,375 km of coastline, overlooking the sea 15 regions, 28 Marine Protected Areas, 2 large islands, Sicily and Sardinia, which alone counted 3,215 km of coastline and dozens of other smaller islands. Italy's coast: a great diversity of natural, economic, cultural and social. Protection is not only a duty, it is an advantage for everyone! Types of beach, a collection!
