From 5 to 13 September 2009 will be held at Parco Sempione and in 'Civic Arena of Milan , the ' Homeless World Cup , the football World Cup for homeless people. This is an event supported by UEFA and several top athletes around the world and soponsorizzato by Nike and Vodafone. Everywhere, the event was an occasion for reflection, celebration, cultural enrichment. The organizers also aimed to scout for the management of this major international sporting event.

Italian Earthquake
Dear Barbara
Like many people around Europe, we Received the news of the earthquake last night Which Happened on the morning news. We are sure That Personally Those affected have spent a dreadful time, Particularly Those who have suffered the loss of friends and family or sono stati subject to injury.
In Western Europe we tend to forget the immeasurable forces of nature but in These Circumstances Such as we stand in Solidarity with the Italian nation and the Scouting community in particular. If there is anything we can do That the Region Hope that you will advise us. We Know That Scouting will be Involved at many levels and we stand beside you in whatever Endeavours These will entail.
In the meantime, Italian Scouting is in the thoughts of the Region, not least from the European Committee and the regional staff.
With sincere condolences and our strong feelings of Solidarity.

Subject: Emergency Earthquake in Italy
Dear friends,
The catastrophe that hit the ' Abruzzo and Italy in recent days and that has caused countless deaths and physical and moral damage to the populations living in areas affected by the earthquake affects us as members of the same World Association Guides and Scouts and siblings.
The Europe Region WAGGGS expresses his sorrow for the many victims, its proximity and active solidarity with the people tragically affected by the Abruzzo earthquake.
We are aware of the rapid response teams of volunteers AGESCI and CNGEI that since yesterday are in place and are supporting assistance to affected populations, and we know how the Guides and the Scout Italians are always in the forefront in such situations of emergency .
Here we want to renew our support and offer assistance in the case where the anny useful, we would be happy to use the communication channels available to us to raise awareness and mobilize the solidarity of the European member organizations of WAGGGS.
