A CAMPAIGN FOR THE INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL AND A PROJECT OF THE SCOUT MOVEMENT IN COLLABORATION WITH THE ALCOA FOUNDATION, by the most 'YOUNG

The CNGEI has joined the campaign promoted by M'illumino LESS CATERPILLAR radio broadcast on Radio 2. The Scout Association secular Italian decided to support its membership with the launch of the final phase of "Not a drop."

The Scout Association secular CNGEI (National Body scouts scout and Italian) has promoted an environmental education project, aimed at raising awareness and promoting active participation in the conservation of water resources. The CNGEI moved into the Italian Federation of Scouting (FIS) which is part of Catholics with the scouts' Agesci , and in synergy with Alcoa Foundation. The project, called "Not one drop" ( www.nemmenounagoccia.org ), born in January 2008, will have its conclusion March 22, 2009, to coincide with the World Day of ' Water .

The project sees first individual to engage youth in their communities, through a contest with prizes to the last drop of water saved, respecting a handbook of rules for the protection of water as a common good. Ten stamps are stickers, each representing a rule of the Ten Commandments to save water, that children and young people are invited to attack at home as a reminder, for himself and his family. The boys agree to abide by the Ten Commandments in person, but also to involve a friend, your class and school in the same activity.

In addition, the local Scout groups are creating "The caravan of water": an 'action that involves the mapping of the waste, the application buttons to adjust the water jet and jet fountains in the case of continuous collaboration with local governments. The project also includes a series of meetings and space for reflection on environmental issues for educators associations.

Water is a central theme of the global environmental debate.

The Scout Movement, the youth organization in the world more 'large in the world, which has 28 million members in 215 countries, has always been attentive to environmental issues and in particular is actively working today on the theme of water.
