Scouting leader also at 98 ° Congress of the CAI
At the 98th National Congress of the Italian Alpine Club , held in Predazzo in Val di Fiemme Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October at the Military School at Alpine Guardia di Finanza, Scouting has played a leading role. The path of rapprochement and cooperation that has existed between the CAI , the CNGEI and ' AGESCI lived on this occasion another important step in preparation for the definition / signature of a partnership in the FIS .
The Congress, which was titled "Identity and the Role of the Italian Alpine Club in a changing society", was attended by nearly four hundred participants from all over Italy to Doriano Warriors as representative as Chairman of the FIS and CNGEI and Massimo Cavagnin representing the Presidency AGESCI.
On the first day of the conference which was attended by numerous civil authorities, and military experts, after an introduction by President General CAI Hannibal Salsa some university professors have analyzed the issue of Congress from different points of view of the audience looked forward to various stimuli to be developed in seminars planned for the afternoon, which had as its theme:
- And political environment of mountain areas;
- Nature and structure of CAI: what changes?
- Culture, communication and training;
- L ' Association faced with a world youth;
- Identity and role of the CNSAS a society in transformation.
Obviously, the seminar on the theme of Association in front of the worlds youth, coordinated by the Head of the Youth Commission of the CAI, Francesco Carrer allowed to know and learn from some of the characteristics and values that distinguish the Scout Movement, the other the current range of CAI for young people, through the activities of the Companions, the Central School of Mountaineering and Youth initiatives implemented locally for various sections.
It 'was interesting how many and which consist "affinity values" exist between the structural and Associations and analyze, albeit briefly, the possible synergies that could result from activation of a partnerhip. The prospect was met with interest by all present and further reinforced by the finding that many of CAI members present, have their kids active in the scouting movement, that many sections have been very successful and mutually satisfactory business at the local level, have attended refuges of CAI and have used the help of their experts and technicians.
The friendly atmosphere and interest in the development of this collaboration has been confirmed in the interventions that have taken place in the final round table of the Congress on Sunday morning, where we have already assumed common events and new appointments.
