The Light of Peace in Milan
MILAN - Saturday, December 13
In the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem there is a lamp that burns perpetually for many centuries, fueled by the oil given in turn by all the Christian nations of the earth. The tradition of the " Light of Peace "was established within the charity in 1986 when for the first time, an Austrian boy lit a light from the lamp to bring it to Linz from this city, with the cooperation of the Austrian Railways, the light was then distributed throughout the federal territory.
So it was that the Scouts decided to take Vienna in turn promoting the distribution of light, thus putting into practice one of the key points of the Scout Movement. Light it also arrived in Italy by the Scouts South Tyrolean German mother, and Trieste began distributing locally first and then, over the years, Scout groups in Northern Italy to cover the entire peninsula since 1996.
This year the arrival of the Light in Milan is scheduled for Saturday, December 13. Welcome to the Central Station with a significant participation in the commissioning of 18, in the chapel of the station. Then, the light will remain until Christmas in the chapel of the regional office in Via Burigozzo.

A delegation MASCI - AGESCI upheld, Saturday, December 13, 2008, the Light of Peace Chapel in the train station in Alexandria.
From here, after a moment of reflection and prayer, the Light of Peace was brought into the Cathedral Church.

Saturday, December 13 the "wolves" of the Pack "Red flower" of the "San Casciano 1" - Federscout were just like other years, in Florence Campo di Marte-lanterns to light the "Light of Peace from Bethlehem".
