The ' Agesci , The Association of Italian Catholic Guides and Scouts, which has more than 177,000 members, is a youth organization that aims to help educational, leisure and extra-curricular activities, training of people according to principles and the method of Scouting, adapted to boys and girls in the Italian society of today. In educational Association he made his political commitment, outside of any connection or influence of the party, taking into account the work of other educational environments. Its spread, based on a homogeneous national civil service demonstrates the commitment of the country through the peculiarities of his charisma.
Animated by the belief in the power of ' education and the courage that comes from the daily commitment to the promotion of the person, the Agesci is committed to educating the discernment and choice, which is why he believes and relies on the irreplaceable role of the School and the University care of intelligences, as a preparation to the taste of thinking, understanding of design. In this sensitive time, as an Association addressed the education of children, we would like to reaffirm the values we believe in:
- a school that not only points to the technical training, but knows how to focus on personal development and exploitation of its potential, fostering critical thinking skills;
- a school that can also host youth from other countries and therefore can be of service to a multicultural society, fostering the integration of diversity;
- the desire to build a European citizenship in young people, fostering economic and business supports cultural exchange with youth from other countries and the experiences of study and work abroad;
- a university that is not notional, but capable of giving incentives to the culture and research, throughout the national territory;
- free and pluralistic information, accessible to all, allowing a critical reading of reality and the consequent formation of free personal opinions.
And, therefore, ask for the Italian school:
not a law, or the affixing of confidence in its being converted, but a timely detection of problems, identifying causes an honest, clear and shared an overall project to be realized through processes not broken, but continuous and therefore controllable and verifiable;
conditions, first of all a proper school time, to fully exercise the task of building culture and, primarily, the culture of citizenship and the Constitution;
paths of legality, civility, responsibility, accompanying himself on clear rules, make our school a place where rights and duties are learned and lived as a guarantee of decent life for all and dense;
the respect for and appreciation of the role and figure of the teacher, because the high professionalism of teachers, without which there can never be any renewal, can not be expressed in terms of recognition and social acceptance;
safeguard the most valuable achievements and originality hitherto done, especially those inspired by the principles of individualization of 'teaching, integration of diversity, acceptance and appreciation of otherness, which are the expression of the identity of Italian society.
For our university we ask:
the guarantee of autonomy and freedom of research and teaching, that the Constitution recognizes;
conditions that promote the free circulation of knowledge and the scientific merits of virtuous competition;
preservation and promotion of the public nature and social role, such as core values of the university system.
We are aware of the need to reform our entire system of public education, but we are also convinced of the need to involve in this plan to reform all the components that interact with the world of school, from teachers, families and those are engaged in the education of young people there is, in fact, reform can not move from a shared model and choices and addresses pedagogically grounded.
We recognize the need to rationalize public spending, but we believe the education system, constitutionally guaranteed to all citizens, merits an investment policy and not cuts.

Hello, my name is Antonella, I am part of the large family group AGESCI AQ2.
I am very pleased that the AGESCI has taken a position regarding the "problem" school. I fully agree with all points especially when you write abbaimo not need "a law, or the affixing of confidence in its being converted, but a timely detection of problems .... an overall project to be realized through processes not ... more interrupted, but continuous and therefore controllable and verifiable ".
In my small way I will try to continue and spread this stance with his morivazioni.
Congratulations again.

I personally am of the view that any reform can be improved, but this goes in the right direzione.La Italian schools lack the basics: respect, commitment and effort.
What the "movement" is not the student wants dialogue, and we have proof, but return to the conditions of absolute laxity of recent years.
Such a while back, said something like "be prepared to be useful." This school does not prepare anyone.

eh sure why you think removing funds, hours, school teachers and janitors would better prepare us better?! I feel a strange kind of proportionality ... funds for education-education = +?!
IT CAN NOT BE 'CUT THE FUTURE!
ok the crisis, Italy can not afford to waste .. the word is ugly but we need saving.
but not so!
begin to cut waste: how many teachers (or professors) do not deserve the salary they receive? how many schools "phantom" constructed? those waste of electricity, heating could be avoided?!
