Concluded the World Conference of the World Association of Guides and Scouts
It ended on Friday 11 July, in Johanesburg in South Africa, the World Conference of the World Association of Guides and Scouts ( WAGGGS ). The Italian delegation was composed by Chiara Sapigni, Barbara Calvi, Paola Stroppiana, Doriano Warriors, Magnavacchi Lucia, Anna Risso, Naomi Ruzzi, Monia Marcacci. The world meeting required by the constitution to bring together representatives of member associations every three years, brought together nearly 500 participants from 140 countries income.
As part of formal meetings and working groups discussed the strategic plan for the next three years, setting priorities and perspectives on the subject line "Join in, Reach out, change lives" (let us unite, let us go, we change lives). Occasion was also presented the logo and plans to celebrate the first centenary of the scouting movement for women.
Were elected six new members of the committee that the world, along with two "reserve", the presidents of the regions at mid-term and six members constitute the Committee in office until the next World Conference to be held in Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
