Italian Network of Centres Scout
For several years in Italy have risen for various land scout camps . Are in addition to traditional centers run by associations scout. This is good because it gives the opportunity to scout groups (as well as other youth groups) to have the availability of suitable space for conducting educational activities outdoors.
These centers are run by:
- Scout Associations at national or local level;
- foundations, cooperatives, associations, individuals that make explicit reference to the scout method
- parishes or other institutions.
At the European level - in WOSM and WAGGS - there is a network of scouts who performs coordination action and support for the centers and associations related (but also a guarantee for those who use them). The European Scout center managers meet every two years to discuss common problems and to compare the activities conducted in various centers. Even in the Italian has proved necessary to establish a network, not only to interact is to make the numerous resources.
On 19 and 20 April 2008, met in Rome (AGESCI guests at its Documentation Centre), the center managers scout Spensley Park (Genoa), Marineo-MASSARIOTTA (Palermo), Brownsea PARK (L'Aquila) and B. -P. PARK (Roma) who have decided to set up a NETWORK OF ITALIAN CENTRES SCOUT which Elio Caruso / B.-P. Park (tel / fax 06.36309530 elio.caruso @ bppark.it ) - with the collaboration of John Perrone / Marineo-Massariotta - is the spokesman.
What do you expect to be part of the "Network of Centres Italian scouts"
- the center must be connected to an association scout;
- The center strives to be "educational space", with specific reference to the values of the Scout Law ;
- The center has adequate space and facilities to carry out activities according to the specific method of Scouting;
- the center ensures the preservation and enhancement of the ' environment , as well as enforcement of existing legislation;
- the center can be used all year by Italian and foreign scout groups;
- management of the center should not be for profit;
- center interacts with the other centers scouts to discuss and identify possible common pathways.
Possible benefits to participating centers scout
- The network promotes the exchange of information between the centers scout
- The network promotes public awareness of the centers outside
- The average network - where appropriate - the relationship with the Scout Association, with the press and the civil and religious authorities
Possible advantages for Heads of Unit scout
- Knowledge of places - that provide an "educational space" - where you can make Scouting
Organizational aspects
- it is part of the network by making explicit request and adhering to the guiding principles;
- managers of the centers meet regularly for discussion and coordination of initiatives;
- each center decides what is suitable for its management, firm adherence to the "charter of values", which contains the principles explained above;
- approved centers will display the logo that identifies them as being part of the "Network of Centres Italian scouts."
NB: We prefer to use the term "scout center" and not "based scouts" to conform to the terminology of other European nations.

It 'a very good initiative, but the problem remains the lack of financial support for the launch of new centers. The contributions made dall'Agesci are meager, and so many potential sites does not start. If the Association decides to invest in this sector, it is difficult to see results.

it's nice to know that the most important national centers scouts have coordinated this provides greater assurance to us when we choose leaders for the positions of our fields, and excludes all those structures are pseudo scout everything except "City Scout".

If I may segnalrvi a scout center where you can have fields with departments, schools or companies ... "Brownsea Park" locations Villavallelonga (QA) at the Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo. the site is to connect http://www.basescout.it to get all possible information. I have a request for information
there being the potential to receive in a hypothetical donation fund to be used for fields / base is used for scout or church or similar associations, a scout grupp0 or parish may form themselves into an association or foundation or other to receive the gift or there are associations that can do this, in the latter case, who would then manage the fund, if you would like to have clarification on in either case in considetrazione also that local management should assess costs to be incurred, and the transformation basic structure of the ground, camping, etc., for both contributions to the state: ici various taxes etc.. For the AGESCI and MASCI exists for the entity "John Carpegna" which manages real estate properties or associations of the two regions scout or scout groups (based on agreements reached). The financial contribution Agesci are small because the Agesci has spent nearly 7 million to make the house of the guide and scout in Rome. The problem is that we should invest more in those properties, the property of the mario carpegna, and managed by regions, zones or scout groups through increased financial capacity of the fund property AGESCI.
