Eighty-five candles for Kandersteg
On 31 May, the center WOSM of Kandersteg has celebrated 85 years of activity: quiet a party open to all guests present at that time, members of the Association KISC , arrived in those days to the General Assembly, and pinkies, scouts and guides from all over the world ensure that the activities of the center; the evening with an international dinner and live music was also open to residents of the village, the center being well integrated into the social, and cultural realities in the valley.
The Kandersteg International Scout Centre , KISC for short, is a lifelong Scout camp is located 65 km from Bern, the Bernese Oberland in the heart of Switzerland on the railway leading from Milan to Bern. In it you can organize summer camps, pack holidays, but also winter camps and winter sports, you can also do simple holiday but remember that you are a scout center.
The center can accommodate up to 1200 campers and 220 guest rooms in the chalet (the latter figure will double by the end of next year with the completion of a new structure). Orbit around the center of scouting association of persons that support and contribute to keeping the magic of the enchanted place.
The FIS , the Italian Federation of Scouting, is among the members of the association together with other NSO (National Scout Organization) and elected members of the association, is a member of the Committee of KISC. Representing the FISper Davide Capecchi was six years (Section CNGEI of Milan), now replaced by Stefano Della Torre (Section CNGEI Cernobbio), the team has expanded counting Mauro Re (section CNGEI Milan) between the KISC Ambassador to Italy.
