Scouting in twenty-two words
Editions Valbonesi
Forlì, September 2007 - €. 7.00
"Twenty-two tracks that invite walking trails educational "
The movement Scouts , founded by Baden -Powell, is 100 years old.
Anyone wishing to know more about the educational function of this youth movement - the biggest in the world with 520 organizations spread in 250 countries-can now also read this funny book, which was printed in September 2007.
Scouting in twenty-two words, written by Attilio Gardini and Luigi Riceputi Forlì, Forlì and printed by Editions Valbonesi types. It is nearly 70 pages where the reader will find, for each letter of the alphabet, a word 'key' of Scouting.
"The Book", writes in the preface to Don Erio Castellucci (Assistant Scout Forlì and Dean of the Theological Faculty of Emilia Romagna), "just as well could be entitled 'The roots of the words scout'. The authors, with a very rare skill and a remarkable erudition, but not heavy, offer their readers a small amount of information that help you to rediscover the roots of Scouting ... "heritage" very useful to the leaders and all those who love this method of education "and, in our opinion, not limited to just one group - the ' AGESCI - but referring to the Scout Movement, without too many other labels ... It is worth mentioning that one of the authors (Attilio Gardini) is known to have collaborated with the magazine "Experiences and Projects" (Center of Studies Scout Baden - Powell), writing - in addition - also for "Azimuth", the magazine of the leaders of the Italian Catholic Guides and Scouts of Europe ("The Words scout: life , death and miracles, "a series of articles published in that journal in six episodes in 1998 - 1999).
This book is intended as a manual (see the words ... Atmosphere, San Giorgio , hebertism, Jamboree , Good Action, Output, exploring ... until tender Paw), but rather a text in which each item is analyzed in its most profound and specific to help discover the meaning of the learning experience Scouting. There is no shortage of text citations, references to current events, linguistic analysis of words most commonly used by the scouts, the moral and religious reflections ... all accompanied by traditional scout and drawings from photographs.
'A new book, the original was missing', writes Fr Erio Castellucci in the preface.
The book concludes with a brief but intense memory of Don Giovanni Minzoni, beaten to death in 1923 in Argenta, who opposed the fascist activities of Allotment scouts that he founded ...

This book is outstanding .....
And although the "educators scout" would use it only as a manual would be a big aito for their commitment to youth education in the world ......
Although I have not read the book, but I read the presentation ...... and one of the authors of this book is "Gardini" who collaborated with the magazine .. Experiences and Projects .. from which I as a team leader, community leader R / S, department head, leader of the pack in the 90s ..... ...... I had to learn many topics of reflection for a personal growth ..... Thanks for the effort.

I saw that the submission / review is just the same in the newspaper of the leaders of Scouts of Europe and the website of Forlì 1 ESF. Ben is ecumenism scout, and exchange between different groups of scouts associations. The book is present and can be downloaded, together with other book scout, also on the website of Forlì 1 ESF ( http://forli1.fse.it/ ) because it comes into its own scout Forli (to which belong the two authors, and Erio don who wrote the foreword).

The books are beautiful precious and woe to those who will miss this!
The early chapters of Scouting in 22 words appeared as a book of experiences and projects, riscutendo much interest. The authors breezy style authors deal with the most significant aspects of Scouting, starting with a "keyword", and bringing the reader to seriously investigate the contents of the method.
Book that lends itself to a reading is "spun" that the consultation topics.
Useful in providing insights to develop traces of vigils or training meetings.
Above all, a good book .....!

The book presents in a clear and simple aspects of the world's 22 scouts. The book is suitable for all scouts that are reflected back and forth between all the lines and pages.
Also this time the authors have demonstrated great skills in enriching the topics covered by the book with his experience and his own experience.
It 'a good book to keep in your personal library. From head / educator, in addition to having already used for some activities, I recommend reading a lot of people on the margins of Scouting (parents, friends, pastor, etc. ..).

Congratulations to the authors for this new text, which is useful to keep alive the interest of many aspects of Scouting that - sometimes - in danger of being neglected ... A simple approach "for all" but not trivial and superficial.

The friend Attilio gives us another work dedicated Scout adventure, written with passion and educational purposes.
Dedicated to the young and the less young people ... who will find stimulation for their thinking and their activities.

Finally, a work that examines the works of the founder, recalling other literary works that confirm and extend the insights of BP Fascinating operation to discover the etymology of our "scautese", showing the profound significance to internalize.

I am a Head of Section Assoraider Sora (FR).
Book but, in my opinion, go read slowly and thoughtfully because there are also ideas for meetings and Heads of Department. A book that must not fail in a library Scouts. Well done, Attilio and Luigi, thanks for your work.

Atratto by name, I asked him to "know more" because even in the field of scouting we Italians have to say. Abroad (in case Brazil) there are thinkers and so on the book in question (which is obviously necessary to know our culture scouts) can find capacity. Greetings.

The reading of the same, for me, was as a source abbeverarmi lush, met by chance along the stretch of a rout, on a hot day in midsummer.
